United Environmental
Acquired May, 2022
United Environmental Holdings Inc. (UEHI) was a solid waste service provider that managed three waste processing facilities and a collection fleet in Toronto and Durham (including Durham Waste). UEHI began operations in 2009 and was later acquired by YORK1. The acquisition of UEHI allowed YORK1 to expand its waste and recycling processing facilities throughout Ontario, reinforcing its ambitious growth strategy.
Budget Group
Acquired aPR, 2022
Since 1993, Budget has specialized in waste management services, including disposal bin rental, waste transport, storage, sorting, recycling, and destruction. Additionally, they also offer demolition and abatement services. Budget had acquired MG Disposal and Tim's Bins.
The acquisition of Budget Group by YORK1, which included Budget Environmental Disposal Inc., Regional Disposal Services Inc., Budget Iron and Metal Inc., doubled YORK1 waste collection fleet and demolition division, expanding our service capacity and team size to over 700 employees.
ACES
Acquired jAN, 2022
Established in 1972, ACES became a prominent waste management service company in the Muskoka, Parry Sound, and Haliburton areas, earning a reputation for pioneering waste diversion solutions. The collaboration between YORK1 and ACES has strengthened YORK1's strategic growth, facilitating an expansion into new and adjacent markets.
YORK
Group of Companies
Established in 1963, York is a leading provider of infrastructure and environmental services in Ontario. The range of services includes excavation, demolition, grading, road construction, civil engineering, construction project management, waste management, environmental remediation, contaminated soil treatment and transfer, as well as waste collection and transfer.
MCS
Acquired Oct, 2021
Founded in 2003, MCS Group has grown from a hydro excavation specialist in the GTA to a versatile environmental and infrastructure service provider through its subsidiaries. YORK1's recent strategic acquisition of MCS Group further expands its services to include hydro excavation, CCTV sewer inspection and flushing, directional drilling, detailed excavation, and comprehensive site services.
Rumble Foundations
Acquired Oct, 2019
Established in 1950, Rumble Foundations excelled in shoring, underpinning, and foundation installations for residential high-rise, industrial, and commercial projects in the GTA. The collaboration enables YORK1 to provide integrated services, including demolition, excavation, shoring, and foundations, catering to the needs of our infrastructure and development clients.
TRIPLE WASTE MANAGEMENT
Acquired Aug, 2019
Founded in 2010, Triple Waste Management focused on waste collection and recycling. YORK1 announced the addition of Triple Waste Management to our brand family. This integration incorporated the Millwick Transfer Station into YORK1's network, setting the stage for continued growth and opportunities. This collaboration strengthened our commitment to sustainability.
Trillium recovery
Acquired may, 2019
In May 2019, YORK1 acquired Trillium Recovery, which included three transfer stations. These stations are crucial hubs in waste management logistics. This strategic move expanded YORK1’s operational reach and bolstered its capabilities, strengthening its position in the waste management sector.
